카멜 프로젝트의 창업자이자 대표 김민기는 미국 대학에 진학하였지만, 창업경진대회 수상을 계기로 휴학 후, 창업에 뛰어들었다. 그리고, 2번의 창업과 Exit(매각), 스타트업 CEO Staff 로 활동한다. 현재는, 세번째 창업인 카멜 프로젝트를 창업하였다. 첫번째 창업(After the Party)은 크리에이터・인플루언서와 브랜드를 매칭시켜 협업을 돕는 플랫폼이었다. 브랜드 컬랙션, 공동구매 등 85+명의 크리에이터의 다양한 협업을 도왔다. 두번째 창업(Essentory)는 크리에이터의 팬덤 플랫폼이다. 연예인, 아이돌을 위한 팬덤 플랫폼인 위버스가 있다면 essentory는 크리에이터를 위한 팬덤 플랫폼이다. 해당 플랫폼은 한 MCN에 매각을 하게 된다.
